Hello! First of all, congratulations on making steps to have the birth experience you want, that's huge! My name is Stacy Sharratt and I grew up in WA and got my BA from Washington State University in Social Sciences. I recently spent some years living in Utah, before my husband and four kids and I moved to Eastern Idaho. We are sure enjoying hiking and camping and being active in the outdoors. After a very difficult and traumatic birth with my first child I became very passionate about parents having empowered birth experiences. I believe that it is such a transformative experience in our lives that needs to be honored as such, and I work with my clients to help them feel in control and educated of the process no matter how it unfolds. After having a VBAC myself with my second child I knew this was what I wanted to do for my career. I received my birth doula training and certification both through the University of Utah and New Beginnings Doula Trainings in 2014. I spent over 200 hours volunteering at the University of Utah hospital as a doula for mothers without access to other support, which taught me that all women need support regardless of their choice to birth surgically, medicated, unmedicated, in the hospital, at home, or any other variation they choose. I also offer private childbirth education classes in your home around your schedule.
