Hello Mama! Congratulations on your upcoming birth. I'm Rachel, a DONA-trained birth doula based in Rexburg, Idaho. I care deeply about the beautiful journey of birth and believe labor can be a joyful and empowering experience. My own home birth kindled a passion in me to help women make informed decisions and have the powerful support of a doula.
I believe in physiological birth and in women’s innate ability to bring life into the world. My philosophy is rooted in the belief that you are capable of discerning what is best for you and your baby. As your doula, I focus on following your lead, supporting your choices, and guiding your partner in ways they can best support you.
Birth and the postpartum period are transformative experiences that deserve thoughtful preparation. Whether you are entering motherhood for the first time or welcoming another child, new experiences and challenges naturally arise along the way. Being cared for and well-informed can empower and strengthen you and your family during this season of change.
As a birth professional, I continue to expand my knowledge and skills through study and experience. I am pursuing my education in midwifery, and I love celebrating new life alongside families in my community. Beyond my work, I am a wife and mother who enjoys homemaking, holistic practices, and outdoor activities like hiking and camping.
