Congratulations on this exciting new journey! Here is a little background about me. I grew up in Utah in the Salt Lake Valley. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Utah. I received my birth doula training through Dona International, and am working toward my certification. I am certified as a Postpartum and Infant Care Specialist through Pro Doula. Some of my other interests include psychology, music, movies, eastern and western medicine practices, and self-sustainability. My husband and I have four children—three girls and one boy. We spent eight years in Utah raising our family before relocating to Pocatello in 2020. Becoming a mother is the single best thing that has ever happened to me. I also think it’s the hardest thing I’ll ever do. I’ve been passionate about connecting with women in pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period since my first pregnancy. I’ve felt a calling to be a birth and postpartum doula as a way to connect with generations of women before me. Birth is one of the most vulnerable experiences a woman will ever have. I am honored to be allowed into the inner circle while holding space for each mother as she is born and gives birth to new life. Each experience is so important and unique. My goal is to make you feel empowered in the process. I want you to feel confident in your abilities and choices surrounding birth.
