Hello and congratulations on your pregnancy! I applaud you for educating yourself about the benefits of having a doula during your birth! I love working with expecting parents and am continually amazed by the miracle of birth. Childbirth is a natural component of creation and life and a woman's body is created for this natural process. I understand that each birth experience is unique and I believe that every woman desiring a doula should have access to one. My goal is to help women empower themselves through education. As they gain knowledge and confidence they will find their voice so they can achieve a beautiful birth experience that they take ownership of. I enjoy working alongside family members and partners to support the laboring mother as we help manage any fear, stress, or discomfort that may arise during the birth together as a team. I understand firsthand the benefits of having a doula-supported birth as well as the importance of birth education and advocate both!  

I have been working as a birth doula since 2012 and received my certification through DONA International in 2014. I have attended over 130 births at Mountainview, Madison, EIRMC, and Portneuf Hospitals, Grove Creek Medical Center and Selah Midwifery Center as well as many home births. I have helped support women of varying birth situations including VBAC, multiples, preemies, single moms, and first-time parents, medicated as well as unmedicated  and cesarean births. I love childbirth education and am supportive and experienced with a wide variety of childbirth methodologies including HypnoBabies and HypnoBirthing, Lamaze, Bradley Method, and others.  

I am a mother of 5 children and live on a farm in Southern Idaho Falls.
